Being an over thinker myself, I can be extremely safe to say that, over thinking does not make you a happy person. You spend most of the time over thinking at the tiniest issue and at the end of the day, what does over thinking benefit you? Over thinking–or not–almost always lead you to the same outcome which is, nothing.
Not only do you waste your time thinking over extremely ridiculous, nonsensical and atrocious thoughts that are not even related to the main issue, you some times even get drifted off and let those thoughts get to your emotions. Which then, for no reason, you get riled up or upset by the people around you just because your emotions are affected by your excessive thoughts. What do you gain? Hurt. From people around you and most importantly, yourself. For letting the thoughts to get the best of you.
All I'm trying to put across here is that no matter under what kind of circumstances, please, do not be an over thinker. I am one and I can assure you that it is not something pleasant. You have to constantly have an internal debate with your own heart and mind for countless of times that you get so exhausted. It is not easy to not be an over thinker when you are already one (like myself), but do at least try to make a gentle reminder to yourself to not over think and just have a little faith at the things and people around you. Nothing comes easy but you will definitely be a happier person.
