365/365

Quiet. That is the word that best describe this little online platform now. This platform was used so ever frequently in the past whenever frustrations surfaced as it had been the only available platform for anger and feelings to be thrown out at, without having another human being’s opinion or hurting others’ feelings.

So... It has finally reached the last day of 2017 and truth to be told, nothing great was being accomplished for yet another year. Milestones? Probably. All the countless nights of staying up and rushing through last minute essays and lab reports in the past two years were glorified by that few seconds on stage, receiving that significant piece of slip that most people in first-world countries are needed to at least achieve, to be able to get a placing in the working industry or belong to the higher percentile of being employed by a decent organization. Yet so far, it has been at status quo – scooping gelato and getting paid enough to live by without being drowned in debts or chasing after paychecks.

2017 has been a flavourful year, with the favourite month of the year being the most stressful one instead of a delightful month of giving and being thankful. Nevertheless, every growing year is another year of experience and memories gained  and also another year of aging. Always good to take every step of the way and embrace it fully instead of looking back and thinking of all the "what ifs". Too much of looking back always caused sadness and heartaches, so why not just look forward and anticipate for the better?

This year, mother nature had been a great help and helped to calm things down whenever things got too overwhelming be it at work, home or even relationships. Diving allows a clearer view of mother nature – the sky, sea, wind, and the beauty of life underwater. Being placed in the service industry brought in many opinionated people from all over the world that has such vicious opinions and showed that some people just have zero respect for service providers – and that caused most of the built up of frustrations in 2017. With the help holidays and being placed into places that restricts the usage of social media, it dissolves the frustration and replaced it with peace and calmness.

Hopefully in 2018, whatever negativity will be turned in positivity, and may the pain be replaced with joy.
Happy New Year.
